Inspired by the story of the real Georgiana McCrae (1820 - 1890 and keen to develop it into historical fiction so more people would hear of her, I took to the canvas to paint this incredibly untalented lady and fellow artist.

2/ The scene background develops
Above is my new video set-up. The camera is behind the small painting and aiming down at it to film the development of the foreground tree and wattle scrub. Because I have filmed from behind, the video will be upside-down, adding to my challenges in learning how to create painting video. Once I've produced a segment I can show, i will add in to this blog. As soon as the basic oil painting was completed, I photographed it, set it aside to dry, and began work on the original painting with brushes is Photoshop.
