It was my second last night in my home base before we headed off on a six month caravan tour, painting and writing about our travels in Australia again and for some reason I decided to peek inside a black folder before packing it away and OMG! HOW on earth ? I asked myself had I painted five watercolours back in July and August 2010, and then totally forgotten I ever painted them.
Never before in my life have forgotten a single painting I have done. These where quite nice works and once I had spent a lot of time doing. They ranged from works painted overlooking beautiful Gorges in the Pilbara of Western Australia and peaceful paintings of the River Murray.
I shook my head in disbelief that I had forgotten about them for six months and only discovered them by accident. I had to think back on how, that could have happened. Then I remembered, My husband came home from Western Australia with whooping caugh and caring for him made me forget all about art for a time.
He is well now. I'm back able to focus on art and have made my favourite of these available as museum quality prints and giftware.
